The Rowan Tree is an independent gift and homewares shop based at 7 Fore Street, Budleigh Salterton, Devon, EX9 6NG. You can reach us by phone on 01395 446066 or via the contact form on our website.

These terms apply to all purchases made through our website. Shopping in-store is subject to our in-store policies.

Section 02

Placing an Order

When you place an order on our website, you're making an offer to purchase the item(s) listed. We'll send you a confirmation email once your order has been received. This confirmation is an acknowledgement — not yet an acceptance of your order.

Your order is accepted, and a contract formed between us, when we dispatch your goods and send you a dispatch notification. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order at any stage before dispatch, for example if an item turns out to be out of stock. If this happens, we'll let you know and arrange a full refund.

Section 03

Pricing & Payment

All prices shown on our website are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. We take care to ensure our prices are accurate, but if a pricing error does occur, we'll contact you before processing your order.

We accept payment by major credit and debit cards. Payment is taken at the time of ordering. Your payment details are processed securely — we do not store your card information.

Section 04

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers purchased online are issued electronically and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They can be redeemed in our Budleigh Salterton shop or against an online order.

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
They are not refundable once purchased.
We're not responsible for lost or stolen vouchers — please treat them like cash.
If the value of your purchase exceeds your voucher, you'll need to pay the difference.

If you have any trouble redeeming a gift voucher, please get in touch and we'll sort it out.

Section 05

Delivery

We aim to dispatch most orders within one working day. Full details — including delivery charges, shipping options, and any restrictions — can be found in our Delivery Policy.

Once your order has left us and is with the postal service, delivery timescales are outside of our control. We'll always do our best to keep you informed.

Please note: we currently deliver to UK addresses only through our website. We do not ship to the USA at this time. For international enquiries, please call us on 01395 446066.

Returns & Refunds

We want you to love what you've ordered. If you're not happy, our full Returns & Refunds Policy explains how we handle returns, timescales, and refunds. All returns and refunds are at the discretion of The Rowan Tree management.

We do our best to describe and photograph our products accurately, but please be aware that colours may appear slightly different on screen compared to real life. If you have a specific question about a product, we're happy to help before you buy.

All products are subject to availability. If an item is out of stock after you've ordered, we'll contact you with options including an alternative or a full refund.

We take your privacy seriously. Any personal information you share with us when placing an order will only be used to process and fulfil that order, and to communicate with you about it. We won't pass your details on to third parties for marketing purposes.
